Intermodulation between v.h.f./f.m. broadcast transmitters and the protection of adjacent-band aeronautical services
Abstract
The VHF/FM broadcast band was extended to 108 MHz to put broadcasting and aeronautical radionavigation. The technical constraints to be used in planning the new band, which specifically called for consideration to be given to the avoidance of interference to the aeronautical services were determined. The mechanisms by which interference are described and conditions which it is thought will avoid interference are given.
