Field coherence function in layerwise nonhomogeneous troposphere
Abstract
A system of equations for the field-coherence function is derived for a surface duct with turbulent fluctuations of the refractive index in the troposphere. This system makes it possible to account for energy exchange between the surface duct and the higher layers of the troposphere. The results are pertinent to the study of centimeter-wave propagation in the surface duct above the sea surface.
