Noise immunity of optical lines with imprecise levels of signal and noise
Abstract
A method of evaluation is presented which is concerned with specified average levels of the signal and noise in the form of imprecise sets. Accessory functions characterize the degree of affiliation of the specified levels of signal and noise with the expected values for the planned Optical Communication Lines. This makes it possible to formalize the subjective concept of the planner with respect to the expected levels of signal and noise which is formed under the conditions of action of a large number of undefined factors.
