Excitation of a circular cone with longitudinal slots by an electric dipole
Abstract
A theoretical study is made of the excitation of a perfectly conducting semiinfinite cone with slots cut along the generatrix by a radial electric dipole situated on the cone axis. Asymptotic expressions are obtained for the Debye potential corresponding to the full field in the slot for a cone with a narrow slot, as well as for the surface-current density in cases of a 'semitransparent' cone, a cone with a narrow slot, and a narrow conical sector. The behavior of the field at the cone apex is investigated.
