Alternating acoustoelectric current during two-wave interaction in an acoustic microwaveguide
Abstract
An experiment was carried out to study acoustoelectric current generated at sum and difference frequencies as the result of electron concentration nonlinearity in the case of the interaction of ultrasonic waves. Particular consideration was given to the interaction of ultrasonic Lamb waves in single-crystal CdS plates several tens of microns thick. The dependence of currents at sum and difference frequencies on crystal conductivity in the interaction region is investigated, and the existence of a characteristic maximum is disclosed.
