Operation of an echo processor in the matched-filter mode
Abstract
Three variants of the operation of an echo processor as a matched filter are examined. Losses of noise immunity due to relaxation distortions are analyzed for signals whose duration is commensurate with the relaxation times. Techniques for the correction of relaxation distortions, making it possible to remove these losses, are considered, and it is shown that the elimination of these losses by time AGC makes the echo processor equivalent to a matched filter.
