Spectrumparameter estimation and discrimination of random signals in an acoustooptic spectrumanalyzer on a background of external and internal noise
Abstract
A theoretical study of the reception of random signals of acoustooptic spectrumanalyzers (ASAs) on a background of internal noise and external noise of the optoelectronic system is presented. Expressions are obtained which determine the accuracy of estimation of the spectrum width and the probability of correct or erroneous identification of random signals on the basis of an analysis of their amplitude spectra in the ASA, using CCD photodetectors to connect the optical and digital processors. The results of the study make it possible to determine the optimal values of the parameters of the optoelectronic system for which the accuracy of the estimation of spectrum parameters and the probability of correct identification is maximal.
