Measurement of antenna radiation patterns with allowance for distorting factors (Review)
Abstract
The theory and technology of antenna-pattern measurements is surveyed, taking into account distorting factors arising under actual conditions of operation and measurement. Particular consideration is given to full-scale tests with allowance for rereflections from the earth's surface; measurements on scale models; rereflections in the time domain; elimination of the rereflection effect during near-field measurements; and computational methods for the reconstruction of radiation patterns with allowance for interference reflections.
