Theoretical and experimental studies of oscillatory systems consisting of several rectangular-waveguide pieces of different cross sections
Abstract
The method of Meshkovtsev et al. (1966) is used for the electrodynamic analysis of the natural frequencies of a system of rectangular resonators coupled through rectangular slots; resonators of this type are used in microwave filter systems. A comparison between theoretical and experimental results confirms the high accuracy of the method used. In contrast to the method of equivalent circuits, the proposed approach makes it possible to determine not only the first N resonant frequencies but also higher resonant frequencies for an N-resonator system.
