Synthesis of PSK signals with an ideal cross-correlation function
Abstract
A method is proposed for the synthesis of a set of pairs of sequences (both binary and multiphase) of arbitrary length with an ideal cross-correlation function (CCF). Also presented is an algorithm for choosing from this set a pair of sequences with the most uniform distribution of pulse amplitudes. The proposed approach can also be used to synthesize sequences with an arbitrary CCF; signal pairs with minimax correlation properties can be obtained and then used in the design of a wide class of radio-engineering systems.
