Noise immunity of multiplicative antenna arrays
Abstract
Formulas are derived for determining the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the output of an arbitrary multiplicative antenna array operating in conditions of an isotropic noise field. The input data for the calculation are the gain factors of individual subarrays and of the antenna in its entirety. This makes it possible to evaluate relatively simply the noise immunity of multiplicative antennas in terms of the radiation pattern and, in some cases, to optimize the array.
