Signal spectrum as a function of target rotation and spatial structure
Abstract
The complex spectrum of an echo signal from an extended moving target is analyzed with reference to spaced radar systems. A general dependence of the frequencies of the localization of the extrema of the amplitude spectrum and the phases corresponding to these frequencies on the target rotation and spatial structure is established. It is concluded that the simultaneous measurement of the spectrum width in two or more reception points of a spaced radar system makes it possible to extract additional information about the target.
