Efficiency of a digital compensator of intense non-Gaussian noise
Abstract
Digital simulation is used to analyze the efficiency of a digital compensator of intense non-Gaussian noise based on a fixed-point-arithmetic processor. Results indicate that the compensator makes possible a high degree of suppression of non-Gaussian noise. Correlation distortions of the signal become insignificant at an analog-digital converter word length greater than 6; a gain of up to 15 dB is achieved in the SNR. Recommendations on the choice of digital-compensator parameters and its use for signal processing are given.
