Synthesis of an optimal device for the reception and processing of a packet of pulsed radio signals
Abstract
The Markov theory of nonlinear filtering is used to realize the optimal reception of a packet of pulsed radio signals and to determine their time lag, randomly varying in time. The noise immunities of optimal receivers are compared for pulsed radio signals and a single pulse. The results are relevant to the design of a difference-rangefinding radio navigation system.
