Impedance of vertical electric and magnetic dipole above a dissipative ground
Abstract
Self-impedance formulae for a small horizontal wire loop and for a short vertical dipole above the earth are derived by using the exact image principle. The resulting integrals appear extremely well behaved for low antenna elevations and give good results with the simplest numerical approximations.
