Estimation methodology of simultaneous reception number for satellite communication systems of random transmission - For EPIRB experiments
Abstract
This paper describes the number of earth stations which can simultaneously transmit signals receivable by a communication satellite system in the probability larger than a certain value, in cases where each of the EIRP, modulation and propagation conditions is supposed to be the same in all stations. The difference in number of stations between the usual narrow band modulation system and the spread spectrum system is quantitatively discussed, considering the results of the experiments.
