The main characteristics of a miniature antenna consisting of open cylindrical screens
Abstract
The paper presents a theoretical examination of the characteristics of a miniature microwave antenna consisting of a line source and a finite number of open cylindrical screens. A method is proposed for a rigorous numerical solution in the case of the excitation of a finite number of cylinders by a magnetic-flux filament, and numerical results are analyzed. It is shown that this type of antenna system generates a highly directional radiation pattern, while having dimensions that are small compared with the wavelength.
