Application of the Schwinger transformation to calculate the dispersion of a symmetric slotted line
Abstract
The Schwinger transformation is used to obtain simple dispersion equations for a screened symmetric slotted transmission line. The simplifications do not consist in neglecting modes of an order higher than m = 0; only the difference between the real and asymptotic values of the coefficients for the lower modes are neglected. The theoretical results are found to agree satisfactorily with the experimental data of Siegl (1977).
