Currents on an ideally conducting body of revolution in the case of nonstationary diffraction
Abstract
A theoretical study of the scattering of an electromagnetic pulse by an ideally conducting body of revolution in a homogeneous isotropic medium is presented. Independent systems of integrodifferential equations are obtained for different azimuthal current harmonics with allowance for the axial symmetry of the body. Transient currents on a sphere and on a finite circular cone are investigated in the case of Gaussian-pulse diffraction.
