Method of signal resolution for fast algorithms of digital processing, taking into account signals which overlap in time and utilize the same frequency
Abstract
It is pointed out that the resolution of signals is one of the classical problems of radar and communication systems. A great number of studies have been devoted to the solution of this problem. However, up to now, the solution of the problem remains incomplete. The reasons for this situation are related to difficulties arising with respect to an appropriate formulation of the problem, its analytical solution, and the practical realization of the processing synthesis schemes. It is shown that the usually employed approach regarding the resolution problem is rather complex. The present investigation is, therefore, concerned with a different formulation of the problem, taking into account the utilization of numerical processing methods. A solution of the resolution problem on the basis of an analysis of the amplitude of the signals is considered. This approach makes it possible to find a new structure for the optimal algorithm employed in the processing of the incoming signals.
