H(10)-wave diffraction by a junction of waveguides with an asymmetric dielectric filler
Abstract
The method of partial domains is used to develop an algorithm for solving the problem of principal-mode diffraction for a rectangular waveguide formed by joining several waveguides with a partial dielectric filler. The modulus and phase of the reflection coefficient are calculated as a function of the fill parameter of the waveguide. Numerical results indicate that the higher modes have a considerable effect on the field structure in a waveguide with an asymmetric filler.
