Losses in conductors of coplanar waveguides
Abstract
Conductor losses in slotted and coplanar waveguides are calculated on the basis of approximate boundary conditions and the Galerkin method with Chebyshev polynomials as the basis functions. The problem of hybrid-mode propagation in waveguides with conductors of finite conductivity is considered, and results are presented for a frequency of 1 GHz. It is concluded that the proposed approach makes possible a simple and effective calculation of losses in slotted and coplanar microwave waveguides.
