Slow surface magnetoplasma waves in an inclined magnetic field
Abstract
Experimental results show that a surface wave propagating along a magnetized semiconductor reacts only to the tangential component of the magnetic field and is not very sensitive to the component normal to the surface. The reason for this selectivity is unclear, but it is possible that it is associated with the features characterizing the formation and restructuring of the internal structure of the waveguide mode of the surface wave, whose partial waves find themselves in asymmetric conditions in the inclined magnetic field. It is noted that an understanding of this phenomenon is important for the understanding of the specific features of surface-magnetoplasma waveguides.
