Polarization effects in the interaction of electromagnetic waves in the plasma of a high-current relativistic electron beam
Abstract
The paper develops an analytical stationary theory for three-wave parametric resonance during the interaction of a high-current relativistic electron beam with a field of a transverse arbitrarily polarized electromagnetic wave. It is shown that the character of the interaction process depends significantly on the polarization of the electromagnetic waves. In particular the proposed model includes the polarization discrimination, consisting in the dependence of gain on the initial polarization of the waves.
