Calculation of the radiation characteristics of a tapered semiinfinite dielectric-filled waveguide
Abstract
The radiation behavior of a tapered semiinfinite dielectric-filled waveguide is analyzed using the Wiener-Hopf-Fock method combined with the method of partial operator conversion. The waveguide is excited by the natural TEn0 or TMn0 modes. For the case of small (relative to the wavelength and waveguide width) projections on the waveguide wall, analytical expressions are obtained for the principal characteristics of the scattered field, i.e., the transformation ratios, surface wave amplitudes, and the far field.
