Diffraction models for the irregularities of microstrip and slot lines with a suspended substrate
Abstract
In earlier studies, diffraction models have been developed for the irregular elements of ordinary microstrip lines which can be represented as a system of segments of various regular lines. This approach is extended here to multilayer structures with plane conductors in individual layers. A mathematical modeling theory is developed at the electrodynamic level, and the developed algorithms are implemented for the irregularities of microstrip, slot, and strip-slot lines.
