Optimization of the parameters of a microwave energy converter
Abstract
Theoretical considerations are presented concerning the optimization of autoemission converters for use in direct microwave-to-dc energy conversion systems. It is shown that there exist optimal values of the radius of the point tip and of the number of points of the autoemission cathode of the converter. It is concluded that fabrication difficulties can be held to a minimum by reducing the number of autocathode points to 10.
