Optimization of MTI radar devices in the case of non-Gaussian signals of stationary targets
Abstract
Attention is given to the possibility of enhancing the efficiency of frequency-type MTI by using an additional amplitude suppression (AS) of passive noise. The characteristics of an optimal nonlinear element effecting AS in coherent and incoherent MTI devices are determined, and the AS efficiency is evaluated. Efficiency is calculated for noise with a Rice-distributed envelope.
