Plane-wave diffraction by a metal comb with a nonlinear magnetodielectric filling
Abstract
A rigorous method is developed for solving problems of wave diffraction by periodic structures with a nonlinear filling, and this method is illustrated by the diffraction of a H-polarized wave by an ideally conducting comb filled with a nonlinear magnetodielectric. Resonant field penetration into the comb is examined, and it is shown that the amplitude, frequency, and angular characteristics of wave reflection/transmission are hysteretic in nature.
