The efficiency of the sequential analysis of dependent observations in problems of signal detection against a background of autoregressive interference
Abstract
The paper is concerned with the problem of the coherent sequential detection of deterministic signals against a background of normal correlated interference. A representation of the processes observed by autoregressive series yields sequential algorithms whose efficiency relative to fixed-sample algorithms is the same as in the case of independent observations. The physical meaning of the result obtained is briefly discussed.
