Estimation of the values of a binary sequence observed with distortions
Abstract
An optimal reception problem with correction of the errors of the distorted binary sequence is considered. Values of this sequence, distorted by modulus 2 additive noise, are estimated according to the idealobserver criterion. The elements of the estimated sequence are values of a binary function given on a Markov chain. Constructive estimation algorithms, suitable for computer implementation, are obtained.
