Modelling and analysis of dc-dc converter using y-parameters
Abstract
An impulse-response method for determining the low-frequency y-parameters of dc-dc switching converters is described. The method permits operation in either continuous or discontinuous modes. Examples of analysis using y-parameters are used to illustrate the simplicity of the method. The main advantages of the method are: (1) the y-parameters can form a complete low-frequency equivalent circuit of the converter for both continuous and discontinuous modes of operation; and (2) the y-parameters are much easier to obtain. The simplicity of the method makes it suitable for analyzing more complex circuits.
