Laser impulse drilling machine discussed
Abstract
The ability to drill holes 0.8 to 1.00 mm in diameter and 3 mm deep for bearings of magnetic relay armatures by laser impulses with an energy of up to 30 joules is examined. Existing blind holes in relay base plates are replaced by through holes. This change is made by two reference holes 1 and 2 produced along with other holes when punching the intermediate product of the base plate from sheet metal. The depth of the holes drilled by the lasers is determined by the distance between the reference holes from the front edge of the relay base plate. It is adopted as equal to 3 mm.
