Steady magnetohydrodynamic free convection flow through a porous medium with mass transfer
Abstract
The effect of mass transfer on two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic steady free convection flow of an incompressible electrically conducting viscous fluid through a porous medium bounded by an infinite vertical porous plate with constant heat flux and constant suction velocity is considered. Expressions for the velocity, temperature and mass concentration field are obtained. The flow phenomena have been characterized by the nondimensional numbers Gr (Grashof number), Gm (modified Grashof number), M (magnetic number), and K (permeability parameter). The effect of these parameters on the velocity, temperature, skin friction, and Nusselt number are discussed.
