Adiabatic shearing flow caused by time dependent inertial force
Abstract
An analysis is made of the shearing adiabatic flow of an incompressible Newtonian fluid with temperature-dependent viscosity caused by a time-dependent oscillatory body force. It is shown that as t goes to infinity the flow converges with an exponential rate to a rigid oscillatory motion at fixed temperature.
