A study of heat transfer in stall-free plane diffuser flows
Abstract
Results of open-jet wind tunnel tests are presented for nonsymmetric and symmetric plane diffusers with cone angles of 2-12 deg, relative lengths of 4-30, and expansion ratios of 1.2-4. Expressions relating heat transfer in the diffusers tested to their geometric and operating parameters are obtained. The effect of turbulizing grids on heat transfer in the diffuser and in a plane duct of constant cross-section is discussed.
