Heat transfer during the nucleate boiling of Freon 11 and 12 under gravitational overloads
Abstract
Experimental data are presented on heat flux densities, thermal heads, and heat transfer coefficients for the nucleate boiling of Freon 11 and 12 on 0.028-0.28-mm-diameter wires and 10-15-mm-wide plates at 1-5000 g. It is shown that an increase in the gravitational overload leads to an increase in the heat flux densities corresponding to the transition from free convection to nucleate boiling. However, at the stage of developed nucleate boiling, gravitational overloads have little effect on the intensity of heat transfer.
