A device for computing the modulus of a vector from two orthogonal components
Abstract
A device for computing the modulus of a vector from two orthogonal components specified by direct current voltages has been designed in which the same blocks are used for both squaring and taking the square root. Such an organization of the device substantially improves the computational accuracy. Thus, in the temperature range 0-40 C, the error does not exceed 0.3 percent for a response time of 1 ms.
