X-ray spectral properties of quasars and their relation with Fe II optical emission.
Abstract
The authors present X-ray observations of quasars obtained with the IPC detector aboard the Einstein satellite. They give the total X-ray flux in the range 0.5 - 3 keV and the hardness ratio; also the derived luminosity, the X-ray power law spectral index αx and the hydrogen column density in the line of sight. An anticorrelation of hardness ratio with the equivalent width of the optical Fe II emission line has been discovered.
