X-ray evolution of supernova remnants.
Abstract
The expansion law and the X-ray luminosity evolution suggest that the supernova remnants in the Magellanic Clouds are expanding down a steep density gradient. X-ray observations of young supernova remnants in the Galaxy provide evidence for rotation-induced explosion of some type II supernovae and evidence for ejection of a substantial amount of elements other than iron from type I supernovae.
