Constraints on squark masses from CERN p overlinep collider data
Abstract
If the gluino is heavier than the squark and the photino mass is negligible, produced squark decay via q∼→ overlineγq . Taking missing- pT events observed in the UA1 experiment as an upper limit due to this source, a squark mass bound of m q∼≳40 GeV for m g∼ = 2m q∼ is placed. The possibility that the observed events could be of this origin is also addressed.
