Zero frequency modes around a monopole in the Prasad-Sommerfield limit come in multiplets of four modes each. An SU(2) symmetry relates the modes within each multiplet. This is sometimes very helpful in finding the modes. One such multiplet is that containing the charge and translational modes. In models which admit degenerate families of monopole solutions depending on a continuous parameter, the extra zero mode is in the same multiplet with the three color modes. The lowest order semiclassical quantization is done for the simplest of these models. The spectrum contains colored states arbitrarily close to each other in energy. The continuous parameter of the family is not a symmetry parameter, but is rather similar to the distance between two solitons in multisoliton solutions.
