Application of the coupled-static approximation to positron-hydrogen inelastic scattering
Abstract
The coupled-static approximation is employed to calculate the total positronium-formation cross section for positron -H inelastic scattering. The results are obtained by including all important partial waves; i.e., with l from 0 to 6. The new cross sections lie between those of the Born approximation and the ones determined by Drachman et al. (1976).
