Inclusive Resonance Production in Muonic Neutrino - Charged Current Interactions.
Abstract
The inclusive resonance production in (nu)(,(mu)) -nucleon charged current interactions was studied based on the data from the Fermilab 15-ft bubble chamber exposed to a two-horn focused wideband (nu)(,(mu)) beam. The overall production rates were determined for the resonances (rho)('+, -,0), (omega),K('*)(,890)('+,-,0),Y('*)(,1385)('+,-,0) along with those of (pi)('-), (pi)('0), (eta) and (SIGMA)('0). Their production characteristics were examined through their rate dependence on the leptonic variables (Q('2),W('2),x(,B)) and the hadronic variables (z(,h),p(,t)('2),yF). The reconstruction of (gamma)'s and (pi)('0,)s, as well as the correction for their losses, is described.
