The effect of the turbulent Prandtl number on heat transfer from a plate
Abstract
The equation of the thermal boundary layer is solved numerically for different values of the turbulent Prandtl number. For a turbulent Prandtl number equal to unity, the agreement between calculated results and experimental data is better than for turbulent Prandtl numbers that are less or greater than unity.
