The effect of nonisothermality on drag coefficients in subsonic turbulent flows within ducts
Abstract
Reference is made to earlier studies where fairly simple asymptotic laws have been obtained for drag coefficients using physically sound assumptions. The same assumptions are used here to arrive at still more general results that are in good agreement with experimental data. The results obtained make it possible to define the applicability limits for the above asymptotic laws and to extend them to the region of finite Reynolds numbers.
