Natural wavenumbers of acoustic and electromagnetic oscillations near a circular cascade with a core
Abstract
A theoretical analysis is made of the natural steady-state oscillations of electromagnetic or acoustic waves near plane circular cascades (modeling centrifugal compressor and fan blades); and the natural wavenumbers corresponding to these oscillations are determined. The splicing method is used to determine the natural oscillations, and the problem is reduced to the solution of an infinite system of homogeneous algebraic equations. Natural wavenumbers are found for circular cascades with radial blades; and their behavior is studied as a function of changes in hub ratio and the phase shift between oscillations in neighboring interblade regions.
