On the vectorial model of cometary atmospheres
Abstract
General integral equations both for radical concentration and surface brightness are obtained in the frame of the vectorial model of a neutral cometary atmosphere. It is shown that the vectorial model brightness profiles and Hazer's model profiles practically coincide under the condition that certain dependences between their parameters do exist. These dependences which enable to transform Hazer's model to the vectorial one are shown in graphic form.
