The decametric observations of the lunar occultation of Crab Nebula on december 2, 1982.
Abstract
Observations of the Crab Nebula obtained at 12.6, 14.7, 16.7, 20, and 25 MHz with the N-S antenna of the Ukrainian UTR-2 radiotelescope during the lunar occultation of Dec. 2, 1982, are reported. Occultation curves, brightness-temperature profiles, and a table of positional coordinates are provided. A compact low-frequency source is located at the position of the pulsar NP 0532, confirming the 1974 occultation observations of Bovkun (1979); the boundaries of the NW and SE emission zones are determined; and the contribution of the NW region to the total nebula emission is found to decrease from 22 percent at 25 MHz to 10 percent at 14.7 MHz.
