Calculation of thermal damage probability of the active elements of pulsed lasers
Abstract
A methodological approach to a calculation of the thermal damage probability of active elements is examined. The distribution law of activeelement strength is established on the basis of the results of experimental measurements. Expressions are given that characterize the stress in an element as a function of the temperature field and the laser operating conditions. Practical recommendations are given with regard to estimating the values of the parameters used.
